Well, our coop is almost done...still have some fancyin' up to get done, but they are all moved in, and growing like wildfire!!! We used all recycled wood for the coop part, thank goodness, and ended up buying all new materials for the run. But, I am pretty happy with it!!! Oh yeah, it has ventilation that runs along the top of the side (it can't be seen in pics, it is up under the run) and there is a very large screened in window on back. I was wondering if the ventilation should be enough, it is about 3 to 4" high and runs along the entire top of coop, also there is additional venting along the peak. What do you think, are we good??? In the winter we are planning on closing off the entire run or most of it (kinda unsure at the moment) with the addition of a window (something that can be taken down come spring) I am just to broke to go and do it now...this is expensive and we were lucky enough to get some free stuff to use!!! Anyhoo, I would like your thoughts......here are some pics, and I am also adding some pics of my peeps, a couple I am wondering if they are roos, they are about 5 weeks now, so any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

AHHHHHHH, you are making me nervous, I thought it looked like Fort Knox!!!! Oooh No!!! Do I need to do more???
Yeppers, the hardware cloth is buried approx. 8-10 inches on front, then I got nervous so I put it down deeper and made it "L" shaped!!! I hope that is enough to keep all buggers out, if not...electric will be added, the first sight of any digging, will probably scare me enough to go ahead with the electric fencing!!! I am locked and loaded, ready to protect!!! Won't be any questions asked around here...if it gets after my peeps....it WILL be a goner!!!!

Thanks, I have to admit the DBF did a great job, even though he doesn't care for animals of any sort

Yes, you need protection around the entire perimeter. I would bury or lay on the surface one inch chicken wire out 24 inches from the coop and run. Critters will try to dig right next to the cage/run, once they hit the wire they give up because of the pain to their paws. Electric is a good idea.
