New coop progress

Figured I’d post our weekly progress on the new coop and run here. My hubby is living out his architectural dream. First weekend was cementing in posts. This weekend it’s was starting to frame. It’s a slow progress but we both work and only have weekends to build. Really excited though.

I’m so sorry my friends, I’ve been MIA with posting our coop progress. My Dad passed a month ago and my soul is crushed.
My husband has been working on the coop the last few weeks (nothing he needed my help for) and it’s looking good! He is amazing. The metal roof is on and the coop is framed out. Next is to get all the small rocks out on the floor and then finish the coop section. Windows are on order and then we will get the hardware cloth installed. Hope y’all and your fluff nuggets are doing great!

The coop is looking amazing! Im still in the process of finishing mine (I thought it was 90% done WEEKS ago ) and now this is making me itch to do a similar one for the next flock Im dreaming of!

Thank you so much. My little flock of 10 seem to be my peace lately. Anytime I sit on the swing or ground all of them come and perch all over me and let me love them (except turkey. Turkey is like a female rooster and made herself alpha ).

Thank you for the coop/run compliment. We get some gnarly snow here and making sure the roof has the ease for t to just slide off. I won’t miss constantly shoveling/sweeping off their current run/coop roof.

Thank you for the kind words! He is my rock and I just love him to pieces. The coop design and build came from my husbands brain. I can only take credit for one day bringing 4 chickens home 2 years ago.
