New Coop & Run

This coop is 4'wide X 8' long X 6' high. The Run is 8' X 15 ' long. Will this hold 7 Plymouth Rocks (6 hens , 1 Roo) & 6 Golden Comet Hens ? There will be alot of free range.

4 X 8 = 32 sq ft. divided by 4 square feet per bird means you could fit 8 chickens comfortably.

I have an 8 X 10 ... with 24 chickens and they do OK, but they lay better when there are less than 20.

Nice Coop!!! Sounds like enough space for what you mentioned. It might be a bit crowder on rainy days unless there is some cover over the run area. Good Lay-out. I like your nesting Boxes.

Good thought on the run cover. I'll look into that.
