Would this coop be big enough for 6 bantams?

I am not free ranging them. They will fly off and have done it before. I 'm probably going to just build a run extension.

If you extend the 3 ft side by 7 ft then you'll have an adequate run space for them.

Free ranging doesn't make up for a too small setup unfortunately

Agreed for a too small coop but if they are free range daily or 24/7 then it does make up for a run that is too small.

I wouldn't get another coop. I'd look at remodeling the one you've got a little and extending their run on at least one side, two sides if you can.

Usually, those prebuilts have too many nest boxes. They need one nest box for every four birds, so for six, I'd keep two nest boxes and ditch the rest, and that should make a little more room. Also see where the roosts are, if there are too many, take out what's not used.

I really do wish I had bought a bigger coop in the first place. I am either going to end up extending the run or buying a smaller coop for 2 of the birds.

Honestly, you're probably better off building a new run surrounding the old setup and converting the old setup into a coop. Trying to expand it it just going to be an absolute pain in the neck and having a run that low will make catching any birds if the need arises an absolute pain for you

I am going to extend the metal run with wood, do you think that would work? And by extend, I mean make it longer but not wider.
