If you extend the 3 ft side by 7 ft then you'll have an adequate run space for them.

Free ranging doesn't make up for a too small setup unfortunately
I am going to extend the metal run with wood, do you think that would work? And by extend, I mean make it longer but not wider.I wouldn't get another coop. I'd look at remodeling the one you've got a little and extending their run on at least one side, two sides if you can.
Usually, those prebuilts have too many nest boxes. They need one nest box for every four birds, so for six, I'd keep two nest boxes and ditch the rest, and that should make a little more room. Also see where the roosts are, if there are too many, take out what's not used.
