eyesterday we built a new chicken coop its awsome we insulated it !!!!!!!!!!!!my chickens love it we live in WI. so we are heating it now , it is 6 ft long by 4ft wide.

Don't forget to have some kind of backup system for heating the coop so if the power goes out your chickens don't freeze their tootsie's off
since they'll be accustomed to a heated coop.
There are many active threads about dealing with the cold right now, I always find them very informative.
