Scored a couple of shipping crates from work. Just a little modification and should make a nice little shelter.

How many do you think would fit in here??

And for a little perspective on the size...opening is 30"x40"

Will post pics when we decide what to do with them.

It is hard to tell the dimensions of the boxes. I'd say a good guesstimate would be 6-8 though. They need 4 square foot per bird, or a bit less if they are allowed to free range. Hope that helps

Shipping crates sure do come in handy don't they! I have one I use as a brooder

I'm gonna say that it will hold 2 chickens + you and the dog.

OK- maybe 3-4 large fowl, 5-7 banties. With, as Cindi... said, room to roam.
