New coop

I've been trying to talk DH into a bigger coop this spring. He's been protesting. Well, my roo got sick and had to be brought in to stay in the basement (AKA his shop) to recover and after three days of smelling chicken poop and squeezing around the cardboard walls and bowls, and poop he finally started talking about "another coop". If I want a BIG coop, I should bring the WHOLE flock in!

I've read that it never hurts to have a secondary coop for just that reason. Maybe you could push for a nice, new primary coop so you can retire the current one to be your emergency/quarantine coop.

Touche! That's what I told him when he brought it up. The old one is 23 sq. ft. Hee Hee.... perfect for a momma and a boatload of chicks!
