We just got three new ducklings, about 6-8 weeks old to keep Quacker company. One of the ducklings is doing something weird today. After losing Ducky and thinking that we may have caused some of his issues, I'm taking no chances. We have the proper feed, putting apple cider vinegar in the water, etc. So now this one little duck is holding its head tilted. I caught it and we checked it. It seems to have a stiff neck to the right side. It can move it's head to the left just fine but holding it straight up or tilting it to the right causes it some stress. Any ideas?

I'm not sure these really show the problem. I couldn't get it to stand in one place. She's very active and very fast, just holds her head tilted.

what feed are you giving? post pictures or a video
They are getting duck feed mixed 2/3 with 1/3 cracked corn and about 1/8 cup of brewer's yeast added to the feed. I give about three tbsps apple cider vinegar to the water. They get about 2 cups mealworms daily. And floating food in the pool.

Looks like "Star-Gazing". I'd start her on a vitamin E soft gel capsules for humans, 400iu a day, and a vitamin B supplement high in thiamine (B1).

There is no need to add corn to duck feed.

Duck feed mostly consists of corn in the first place, all you're doing is diluting the nutrients in the feed.

A friend suggested catfish floating pellets instead of duck feed but I have never heard of that. She said it's higher in nutrients and vitamins and the ducks will eat it better.

Ask your friend if she feeds her dog's parrot feed. Probably not.

I don't know how one could think fish and ducks diet could be interchanged sufficiently without any problems. It's absolute nonsense.
