Hi , Everybody!!
I am a new Duck owner and new to BYC. We recently moved from Philadelphia to the suburbs with a quarter acre. My seven -year-old daughter became allergic to chicken eggs last year and we have been missing eggs so I jumped on the duck wagon. My aunt has always had muscovies and geese and we love them. I am getting two muscovy ducking hens about 10 weeks ago from them in a week or so.. I decided to get a couple others since our local duck lady lives near the feed store and I am in love!! My three cuties are cuteness ( Pekin), Banana ( Rouen/ Blue Swedish) and Ethan Gamertv ( Swedish/ Runner) the names were from the kids and tv. For now the babies are eating Nutrena Gamebird starter because I was told it has higher niacin, does anybody else use? Eventually I am going to get them a soy free organic feed. Here are my cuties..

How cute! I have a family member who has a sensitivity to chicken eggs and instead eats duck eggs from my lovely pekins! I use chick feed that's unmedicated and haven't had a problem

Personally I think they taste pretty much the same but they are a lot creamier and smell different. I prefer chickens eggs but if I didn't have an the choice I'd eat them and do on occasion. They are also fabulous for baking with.
That's what I heard. We love to bake
