Yes I'm a newbie to the duck world. I bought two chicks upon the demands of my 4 year old. My question is how do I know if I have boys or girls?
Here's a couple pics of Pip and Squeak.

How old are they? If they are over 6 months they look like 2 female pekins, however, if they are younger, i can't tell yet from a picture. How do they sound? If they both have a loud "duck" quack, then they are girls. If 1 or both have a raspy, quiet, scratchy, throaty sounding quack, they are boys.

Lol I have nothing to compare them to. They both sound the same, haha! But I don't know what they sound like. They are about 7 weeks old so almost 2 months.

lol, yours may still be in the in between stage where they are starting to quack, but are still peeping some too. Sexing them at this age will not be totally reliable, but you can try :) The only way to tell from the feathers is the boys develop a curly tail feather and girls don't. If one develops a tail father, you definitely have a boy.

Here, watch this...it is in another language, but the first duck is a boy, and the second is a girl.
