New duck parents from San Jose, California.

Thank you everyone for welcoming us. My girls are now 6 to 7 weeks old and are doing really great. We have a child sized swimming pool in our back yard for swimming time. I never realized just how much ducks "Love" the water. I know they are water fowls, but never noticed just how very much they love and adore the water. Silly things.
My doxie , Isabella seems to be behaving a lot more comfortable around them. But I still would never trust her with them. She is now smaller than the ducks. She does her share of barking at them. They do not back down and run @ her (she turns and runs the other way). But this is done behind a fenced in pen for them. Would never chance it without one. I love all the questions and articles I read from all your contributors. Learn something new all the time. Again, thank you.

It sounds like they are well loved. Maybe Isabella will get used to them -- especially as they get closer in size to a mini Doxie (which are absolutely adorable dogs!)?

Yes. Dachshunds are my very favorite breed of dogs. She is a wonderful little sausage who is totally loved.
