do ducks roost? never owning them before only chickens,.... we are getting 2 ducklings in march,, we are in the process of building a pen for them, do they roost at night? thanks in advance!

Ours don't, they just sleep on the ground or in their "nesting box" we have (rubbermaid tub that's sideways). Some do, not sure what breeds. Ours are Pekin.

Muscovies will roost sometimes. Most others don't

domestic mallard derived breeds don't roost....

Muscovies will.

some wild breeds of ducks will, but mallards do not.
