New Duckies TSC

Don't use flock raiser, as i went through three different bags of it and was still getting ever increasing leg ect issues with half a dozen TSC ducklings, two were pretty bad off from start and expert woman working there just told me to take them as she wouldn't put them back now that been out of cold tub due to bio security BS (I'm peraphrasing). The flock raiser was making my scovies sick too though, and my chickens wouldn't touch it.

Generally speaking if you can find a duck starter all the better. That said, definitely read labels as availability and products vary... medicated vs not is a complicated one, at one time it was an issue not so much anymore but to repeat reading labels is important as their are variances on what is okay and what isn't that is why often it's just easier to say non.

Many have used all flock, flock rasier though? so not sure what to say with that, i am not in the US so my products are completely different here.

They do look like Pekin to me as well... i have some of those.. feed vacuums lol i have mine on a duck starter right now.. they are sucking that back well... honestly, look into what is available to you within your area.

Welcome to ducks and the forum, love to see updates they grow real fast those Pekins.

Update: they've grown especially one. And yes they love food and suck it up almost immediately. They are currently on Dumor 20% Chick starter/Grower. And love to make a mess in the tote tub.

They are cute! is that where they live? is the floor slippery? appears so, they shouldn't be on slippery can cause leg problems, i would add a non stick rubber mat, shelf liner etc to the floor! and always ensure they have water with food, they can run out of food but if they run out of water first they can choke.

Okay I know this is kinda late but a duck can overdose in medicated feed they can also eat to much of it and bloat and die just like with every other feed but the medicated feed taste good to them so they eat more of it so they overdose , I know this for a fact becuase when I didn't know I lost 2 ducklings becuase of medicated feed 2 years ago.

For baby ducks under one week feed them for 10-15 minutes every 2 hours and monitor water intake incase of bloating

For 2 weeks u don't have to monitor as much but still apply rules about the feeding times

And 3 weeks and older they can have more food because of there size and I course more water but they don't have I eat every two hours , u can feed them lunch and dinner and maybe in the morning, but u have to feed them every five hours or so
