I've got his little legs wrapped up, now, how do I get him to eat? I had to separate him from the others as they kept trampling him. I've been offering him a mash of the duck food and water, he's been eating a little.
Is he just tired from hatching? Please help, I don't want him to die.

So might not show interest in food till tomorrow. Offer sips of warm water you can drip along the bill and see if he’ll take some. Main thing you don’t want to do if force water or feed they can aspirate and that can cause pneumonia

I've been offering him the warm mash and some water. He ate a little and has been drinking, I'm just a concerned new duck mom I guess.

Hi there and I think you've done the right thing in seperating the little one out ! Have you added any supplements into the mash and / or water ?

We've had a lot of problems this year and I now go straight to the duck lucozade for anyone who has had a challenging hatch (water, honey , b complex, ace vits + selenium). Even if they arent eating, they are getting calories and I like to think the honey takes the edge off the awful smell / taste of b vits !

Keeping it all crossed for you and the little one :hugs

No, currently don't have any! I thought I had Sav A Chik but when I went to grab it it had gotten wet when the basement flooded.
So the baby tries to walk, but he flips over on his side and can't right himself. Since I had him wrapped for 24 hours I took it off and the leg is normal, however he can't walk. He's got a lot of spunk, my grandfather is saying to fill him.
