Hubby brought home 3 new babies yesterday from TSC. I google searched them using their pics and the wise Google thinks they are a couple of Welsh Harlequins and a Pekin. I am hoping the wiser BYC community can confirm or deny Google results for me.
Behold the cuteness 😍

I do not think they are Welsh Harlequins. The bill is usually much darker and you can see the dark frosting on the tips of the yellow. I don’t see that in yours. I am thinking you might have Buff or Saxony ducklings? The white duckling could be a Pekin but it could also be a white layer or any other white duck.

Here is the list from Hoover's, of what may be included in the assorted ducklings, which is what I am assuming TSC sells.

Pekin, Rouen, Khaki Campbell, Blue Swedish, Black Swedish, White Crested, Fawn & White Runner, Black Runner, Blue Runner, Chocolate Runner, Saxony, Silver Appleyard, Golden 300 and White Layer.

Hoover’s gives Tractor Supply whatever they have. People have gotten Buffs, Dark Campbell’s, etc. from TSC. Look at the chick ID on their Website. The ducklings are mixed in.

If #2 turns into an Orpington, you will see us on the news
But, looking at the differences on my computer screen today vs on my phone screen, I can see the subtle differences in facial coloring.

I will be adding 3 more babies for speculation once I am home from work. The hubby brought home more precious babies. The great thing is that ducklings grow so fast, there should be more hints on type very soon.

If you have nice warm weather you can introduce your ducklings to your drake just make a pen the babies can be inside of in case the drake wants to pick on them. I used a dog X pen and covered the outside with hardware cloth plastic fencing would work too to keep the little ones from slipping through the fence. I would stay out with them and they can be outside for 30 mins at a time on a nice warm day.

Yes, I have a couple days off coming up and I plan on a couple brief excursions outside to visit with my lonely drake. I was ideally planning on bringing home some more adultish females for him, but my husband saw my broken heart and bought new babies to try and make me feel better. It worked, I am excited of course, but babies do require more work in the begining.
