Ok, after a harrowing ordeal of delays and drama our Cayuga and WH girls arrived yesterday afternoon. Cayuga looked a little worse for the wear but both eating and drinking like champs.
Last night, ceramic heat emitter crapped out and the girls were in a 69 dg brooder for 3-4 hrs. Still eating and drinking fine today, have added a normal 75W bulb until I can get a blue one.
I've given them 2 watering stations, both well deep enough for them to dunk their whole heads.....problem is, they're NOT. They drink just fine but have yet to see either dunk their heads and wash their eyes/nasal passages. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
