New Duckling

This duckling hatched about 36 hours ago. He was the only egg that survived. The incubator sucked and it was difficult keeping the temperature high enough. His eyes are bulgy. Could it be he just looks like that because his head feathers are matted down or is it a symptom of something? Thanks!

I would certainly give it a day or two before deciding if the temperature affected this little one or not. Temps too high or too low can cause problems as is obvious only this little miracle made it.

Just see how it does tomorrow. It could have some obstacles to overcome or perhaps nothing at all.

Is it eating and drinking okay?
