I am about to add six new ducklings to my flock of chicken and ducks I have. My flock is about to be switching their feed to layers feed because they will be laying eggs soon. But I am gonna add 6 more duckling to the group and I was wondering about the feed how I would separate it even tho they will all be together at one point but the younger ones will be on a different feed until they starting laying... just looking for some suggestions on how to go about it

The only way to keep them on separate feed is to keep them housed separate.

If you're going to combine them there's no real way to keep them eating two separate feeds so you'll have to switch.

Switch to a feed that the babies can eat and offer the layers oyster shell on the side.

you can feed everyone purina flock raiser, and just have a bowl of oyster shells on the side. the boys and babies won’t eat the shells but the laying girls will eat what they need
