New Ducklings!

Hi! I have two ducks right now. i have never before fathered ducklings and so far things are working out very well i have had them for about two months now and now im starting to notice aggression in my (maybe) female mallard, leona. i love holding them and they often cant be anywhere else by right by my neck and i love it, but recently leona has been biting at my eyes. at first it was something i didnt bother with and i figured that it was a phase or something but now she is a bit older and she is doing it more and now is drawing blood so if anyone has any idea on what this is, or how i can correct it, the help would be greatly appreciated! i would love to stop showing up to school with holes in my eyelids

I don't know anything about ducks. But I don't think you should be holding them so close to your eyes. They could poke you in the eye and damage your sight.

Welcome to BYC. Birds peck at bright things - ducks' bills go to a lot of nasty places. Do not allow her to peck at your eyes. We only get one set in a lifetime.

If you must hold her near your face, wear safety goggles.
