New ducks to flock

If the ducks have not had deep enough water to dunk their whole head their eyes can get dirty and infected. I would recommend rinsing their eyes with a luke warm saline solution. It will help clean their eyes out and heal if they have issues.

Looking much better this morning. Standing and moving around today. I think I heard a bit of a quack as well. Also she ate today and she didn’t at all yesterday. Generally looks healthier today. So happy to see improvements already!

Update on the two new members of my flock. Unfortunately, the one I posted the pictures of passed away at the vets office this morning. Evidently he had heavy metal poisoning and was malnourished because of it. I really wanted to help the poor duck. I’m so sad, but did all I knew to do.
They suggested I make an appointment for the other duck. That one is limping but eating, drinking and acting like a normal duck. Any thoughts on if I should do it or not?

Regarding the other duck, could you answer these questions asked previously in the thread?

"Try to grab one, and do a nice thorough physical examination, checking around their vents, their abdominal area, mouth, feel their legs for swelling, make sure each joint bends, etc. Check their footpads, for signs of bumblefoot."

Ok, I am working today and it will be dark by the time I get home. I will post something and check her out in the morning. I do know one of her feet is turned inward a bit.
