New egg from noir Marans from mt healthy

I got 2 Noir Marans from Mt Healthy at the Ed of April and I got my first pullet egg!

They’re a hybrid of a cuckoo Marans and BCM, so I was worried about egg color, but it’s so dark!

Lavender Orpington and Easter Egger egg next to it for comparison.

That is very pretty first egg..congrats to you and your girl.
Some of my Black Copper pullets eggs darkened up just a shade in their first week of laying so maybe yours will also.

My other lays a slightly lighter shade, but speckled. I love their eggs and they are great layers.
