New egg layer suggestions

Since my Peking laid her first egg this morning, is there anything else I should do differently? They eat purina duck feed.

I would just leave out a dish of crushed or flaked oyster shell. She’ll eat what she needs, when she needs it. It’ll help keep her egg shells nice and strong. You can also bake and feed her back her own egg shells, but I hear the oyster is best.

If it looks like a typical egg, I don’t see why not. I’ve eaten and used all of my hen’s first eggs.

Yes it is, but i was still weirded out with the first one (I don’t even know why) so I fed it to my husband and didn’t say anything. He survived
