One of my Dominant Coppers, Cookie, started laying! The only outward sign is a red comb. She isn’t squatting and her pelvic bones were only 1.5 fingers wide a few days ago. I really wasn’t expecting eggs from them for another 3 weeks, or when they were 20 weeks old, but I guess she wanted a head start on her 2 other sisters. Here is her small egg next to my 1 year old Welsummer hen egg.
