new egg

Well my mountain quail laid their first egg, any advice on how to incubate this one better or what to do different?

From what I am told hatching isn't the problem with mountains,it's getting them to eat.This guy in Ma. that has and still does raise them told me the trick.You get a piece of plexi glass,spray it lightly with water,hold the plexi at an angle and throw crumbles at it.The chicks see the shinny water drops and peck at it and eating the crumbles at the same time.If you place a piece of paper towel under the plexi,you can pick up the pieces they don't eat and use again.Just don't let the crumbles get to wet.
