I have a few Buff Orpingtons and Golden Comets that have just started laying. Someone has what I assume are meat spots in them. I have read that this will happen in older birds but these ones are young. Is this a problem for the breed? I have not been able to find any info on it. Is there anything I can do to stop it? Thank you for your help.

Meat spots? Do you mean blood spots?
Please describe in more detail.

Meat spots can happen at any age but tends to effect new layers and older layers more frequently. They are okay to eat and if you don't to, you can remove the spots before cooking if you find them undesirable....
