I live off of 16 in NH and want to get in touch with people who seriously breed these two Chicken relatively close by. I have a few different breeds but want to get some RIR and NH breeding stock in the spring and completely switch gears by 2019.
I already have a juvenile NH roo so will only be looking for young NH pullets. I will need a RI roo as well as pullets.

To me a RIR hen shouldn't be light red nor have any white, Mahogany or bust!
To me a NH hen should be a nice gold/red with no white and be slightly bigger than a RIR.

Is there anyone out there really pushing to make quality birds in both color and egg production?

On CL I have been mostly disappointed with the quality of hens. Then most commercial hatcheries have suppliers who solely focus on egg production and lost touch with color quality. I could spend a few years buying from all of the hatcheries and selectively breeding but I am hoping someone in NH or New England has already done that or themselves found a good local breeder to buy from!

Any info would be great, thank you in advance!

Both of these breeds have National breed clubs. go to their web pages and check their breeders directory. also check the website for show results and see who's winning at the shows. people winning at the shows will have the color you're looking for. look them up in the breed directory and get ahold of them.
Best success,
Karen
