On this link you'll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping birds - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archives

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 (there's a guide on how to include your location under your avatar - including your location is very helpful). You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
What are your plans to winterize your coop? Can you start a new thread with a picture of the chicken you suspect might have a tumor? I can't quite make that out in the images you posted.
Not sure if this is where I reply but thanks. Im trying going to raise the other coop of the ground and enclose the left one-I have insulation to staple around it then we were just gonna tarp the outside of coup really well for wind. I'm not sure yet about water yet. Any suggestions.
Looks like you have two turkens. BTW no relation to turkeys. They are supposed to have naked necks - that's part of their charm (?). If you breed a turken to a Silkie you will get "showgirls"(a type of silkie) and some turkens as well.
Welcome to BYC!

Thanks. Yah the 3 are missing feathers on the necks for months. But one looks like she has a tumor? The three of them are the rambunctious ones of the flock too.
:yesss:We are glad you joined our flock!

Looks like you have a breed called Naked Neck...the thing you might be calling a tumor...looks like a crop to me.
