New Englanders! Much ado about New England!

Hello neighbor! I'm in Fitchburg.

And I am in Westminster!

All my horses tack is molding. Paddocks are mud, around the chicken coop is mud.
My veggies aren't growing because not enough sun, yet the weeds are growing like they are on steroids, whats with that?

What a crazy June! I was actually in Paris last week on vacation...we had 15 minutes of rain as we were leaving the Eiffel Tower, but other than that it was sunny all week! This is a very depressing homecoming.

And ANTS!! I'm suddenly finding big black ants all over the house. I think they want to get out of the rain, too.

The only good thing is that this is helping me decide where to put my coop!I'm scoping out my yard for the spot with the fewest puddles! LOL!

A secret of mine, sprinkle 20 mule team borax around the house, under throw rugs, dog beds and into the small cracks in your mop boards. The ants travel those cracks (and especially under the sinks) and they will return with this detergent on their feet, and it will kill any coloney you may be building in your house...either that or bring in the 'girls', they love ants!

We have seen an increase in big black ants, also those small rusty colored ants have been building a nest in the bottomless milk can.
(the girls appreciated all their hard work!)

Everything is so dang wet...

My birds have tried to range about the yard but with these heavy showers every 20 mins they have given up...The run is soaked...so is their food...the only dry place is in the coop...and Minny and babies are the only dry ones because she is staying in with her babies that she hatched Tuesday...there is nothing worse then a wet silkie...
