New Englanders! Much ado about New England!

I have buff hens only... I placed my old buff roo... soo I won't be having anymore pure buffs for a while. I do have a splash and blue roo in with my buff hens ;) I don't hatch those eggs... they are just for the kitchen and boys are in there just until I can find them a good home.

It takes a little getting used to, this new forum. You can get email updates, have you looked at the profile page and set the selection to emails? The mother's day hatchathon goes to my email . . .so maybe you can get updates via emails, too. GL

I will double check that... I think I have already done that once.. but never hurts to check again . :)

Thank you

Well I'm a newbie wanna be and hens are fine to start. I'm an old time dog breeder /show person and age has creeped in on me for show ring running. I think I could make it in chickens for the run....smiles

My daughter lives in Wolfeboro and I have to do some grandma duties as well as picking up my dog food runs that are delivered over there.
James is building me a coop and yard area, I already have dog kennels to add around also.
I joined wanting to know more about the raising of chickens and what it was all about, I know it will be fun!

YES! Yes! yessssss!
That would be great!!!!!! I was think 4 to 6 for a start....do you think that is a good number for us?

I have shown pugs for over 25 yrs... haven't been doing much showing in the last yr... My handler died :( and honestly I just don't have the time or money to travel and do those kinds of things anymore. My lab is here to help keep the bears away :) He is a lovely black boy and we are so very proud of him. Soo smart and protective of us. He doesn't bother our chickens either :) You are going to love having chickens specially since you will have a good set up. Lugging water in the winter time is NOT fun... but my chickies are worth it. :) I have about 75 adult chickens. They are very spoiled lol Oh and I am a Grandmother as well.. I have a 30 yr old daughter, a 10 yr old son, and a 4 yr old grand daughter
