New Englanders! Much ado about New England!

Pics
Beautiful bird and beautiful mudless/snowless ground. Right on the coast we still have 6 inches in the woods-go into town and the piles are huge ten miles inland. Went to Vermont a couple weeks ago and I couldn't believe how little snow there was compared to Maine. You guys got some heaters there we don't know about???

You know sumthin Ticks....I learned now how you gots yer name!!! You know just how to TICK someone off ....I'm almost joking. (LOL)
Beautiful bird! I took some pics of our yard with the girls out in it...I'll share once I get the on the pc.
Welcome you new folks! Its nice to meet you!

Also, I put it in the Oxford, Me Chickenstock and I know of a fella up here that is looking for grown pullets about egg age. No old hens! (I'd love to say something here, but won't)

Still no signs of the Turkeys that escaped, which I expected and they were only doing what came naturally, looking for a flock and some girl/boyfriends.

So if Lily reads this, there was never any bad air between us, if you feel bad, don't, its life and it just stinx sometimes. I keep hoping that some of the babies this year come up with some Narri tho!

These picture was taken yesterday, 3/27/09, in our back yard. What isn't snow...is mud and puddles (yippie).

The girls are pretty pleased that they can find bits of fresh green grass growing.

This is Scooter a Bantam Cochin splash, I thought it was funny to see him in mid-shake, notice his feet are still and wattles too!

Yep, probably banter, but your closer to the coast too by a good 30+ miles, your apt to get more ocean weather- rain and ice. But that is the way it goes.
How is the thoughts going on the Parsonsfield Chickenstock going?
It has been a pretty welcome idea to the locals I've told about it.
Having the Chickn Diva available helps out a lot, shes been there done that!
I saw the sun peek its way out of the haze, so that is a good sign and the equal bad sign, I heard the Eagle out here making its presence known. These chickens have no chance at ever free ranging again!
Have a good rest of the day!

woohoooo sounds like good beginnings!
Everyone has been so positive towards the upcoming event! A lot of the ones I've spoken to about bringing their wares have been so enthusiastic that its getting their names out! Especially when we all enjoy our poultry and other animals- and if you need a hand, there is nothing like knowing which small back yard has a farmer in it!
I have not had any phone calls regarding the event, but that is OK too, whoops, let me rephrase that, I've had one call about Chickenstock here in Oxford...YOU!

See how lucky I am!

Hey, I'm new to the forum, just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm in Limington, ME. Started our flock last year, with 10 meat birds and 2 RIR's. We're looking to add a few more layers, but having a hard time finding where to get them. It seemd like all the places around here high a high minimum amount. Any ideas from all you more expierenced people?
