That it is my friend, that it is. My rooster (pheasant) has kicked it into super breeding season. I got eggs coming from everywhere. One of my hens escaped, and has been dropping eggs by the pen and is escapign my attempts at catching her.
Who cares though, it's spring I have 25 Pheasant chicks coming in late May Turkey eggs coming soon and 12 chicken chicks coming soon.

Yeah, I started a VT thread but not many people are from Vermont so I made it more broad, and thus the NE thread was born.

Hi neighbors!

I am in Western MA, and got my first six chickens last Saturday. My DH and I have 2 dogs, Ben & Lily, one cat, Chip, a Senegal parrot, Musetta, and tropical fish.

BYC forum is great!

I love all the information, especially being a newby!

Thanks! My girls are from TSC and, sadly, they didn't know what kind....
They were hatched Tuesday the 7th, and they are doing great! When I say "Hi girls!" they fly out of the brooder and scratch at my feet. They are fluffy reddish yellow and their wings are growing in white. Two are showing white tail feathers this morning!

I love them already! They will be pets only. I am allergic to eggs and birds, so I will miss out when they start to lay, but I'm sure I'll find plenty of people to help out taking fresh organic free range eggs!
