I wonder, between that or correct me if I'm wrong, does the feather die before coming out from Molt?

i dont have the answer to that, i just notice alot of feathers in the pens and on the ground and then bald chickens!!!

I don't think feathers die. It is not living.

no? I know on other birds there are feathers that if they break off then they can bleed to death. I always assumed the "root" to the feather was living, supplying it with blood...dunno.

The feather goes into the skin. If i gets ripped out it could draw blood. Would a dog or other furred mammal bleed to death if it lost fur?

I really enjoy the common ground fair. That's something well worth the trip.
My parents live in the Blue Hill area of Maine. Beautiful!

I don't remember the feed store in Belfast having a big enough parking area to do much. I'm always up to scoping out feed stores and hardware stores.

I used to trout fish. I enjoy it but the licenses got too expensive. I don't eat trout either and since I don't have anybody to give it to I won't kill the things. I could fish and never leave my yard. I'm bordered by the river on 2 sides.
