Welcome to BYC!!1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes new to owning. Have been around them a lot through life and lived places where others owned them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 8 new babies
(3) What breeds do you have? Rhodie Red (2), Barred Rock (3?), Golden Star? (1), Silver Laced Wyandotte (2). My husband and kids picked them and he is terrible with names. I’ve figured out most of their breeds by picture research but as they grow could use help identifying!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? The personalities and how much it’s brought our family together!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Camping, Youth Sports (year round someone is in something! All 3 kids at home are in baseball currently)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Family of 6, work full time and busy lives but trying to build strong ties to home. Kids are 4, 11, 13 and 18
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?Googling lots of info about chickens, this site comes up and has been most reliable for solid info.
