New Family Thread!

My broody hen hatched 3 out of 6 eggs 3 days ago and I wanted to make a thread. They are precious and Daisy is a first time mommy. 2 eggs were duds and there is still one more left. We are going to give it one more day. We candled and water tested it and it passed both. Poor momma is trying to sit on it and raise her chick's at the same time.

Day 4
The late bloomer was a dud.
Went to check on the chick's today and they know how to scratch already!
Question:
How old do they have to be before we could let them out supervised?
We were thinking that we could let our adults out to free range and that it would be the perfect time to let momma and 3 chick's into the run. For a short time of course.
What do you all think?

Do you have a chicken tractor? We had them in that for a long time.

I would let them out, but for a small time under supervision.

Its only 3' x 6' so I call it the playpen.

We don't have a chicken tractor. Right now they are in the main coop within a smaller coop. But I feel like they are too confined.
