Hi there! My name is Leah and I live East of Seattle in the city of Woodinville. In June, my daughter and I decided to pick up three chicks and two ducks. So we got Kamille the Wellsummer, Loni the Black Australorp, No-Name the Barred Rock, and Pickles and Piper the Indian Runners. A few weeks later my sister asked me if I wanted a few more hens because someone was moving and couldn't take them with. So I ended up adopting Broody Hen (she ended up surprising us and hatching two chicks the day of her move to us ~ the chicks have since been lost to predators :-( I miss them), and Purple Chicken. Purple and Broody have quickly become part of the family, and are both excellent egg-layers.
