I've been reading on the forum for a number of weeks and am very grateful for all of the good information. Today, I'm pleased to announce the arrival of Silkie and Showgirl chicks. They are enjoying their EcoGlow Brooder which is not visible in the video.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Congratulations on your new chicks! How adorable, looks like a nice color mix also.
 
Thank you for the nice welcome! We are SO excited!! Does anyone have an idea on colors? I couldn't find a color reference for chicks--only adult chickens. Some are obviously bi-color but don't look to be Splash or Paint to me. I took some official portraits last evening and think that one of our showgirls might be a lavender?

Guessing that the Brindle one is a Partridge?

Our second set of eggs (whites) is hatching this morning so that will be easy. LOL

My avatar is our Icelandic import afghan hound Declan--just over a year old in the photo. My 20 year old daughter handles him in AKC conformation and has been doing very well. In just 3 show circuits--8 points, Puppy Group 1, Owner Handled Group 2, Ranked #14 Owner Handled Afghan Hound in the USA for 2013--highest ranked class dog. We are thrilled as she was up against all professional competition. If you Google Angelsun Afghans--there's lots of photos there. I'm sure that the chickens will be invading SOON!
