I have been learning by hit or miss method. I have had the flock for 18 weeks and I promise they all know I'm new to this. I have been reading articles on their breeds which has helped tremendously. So happy my RR has laid 4 eggs now. My RB are being late bloomers. I tried the traditional nesting box and the milk crate ones. The RR started laying in the traditional one. So I replaced the milk crate ones with more traditional ones today. So hopefully the RB will be inspired for egg laying with the new boxes. Stay tuned!

So much of our learning on this site is "as needed" but it all comes together and I'm sure you'll be successful at poultry wrangling! I have 6 pullets 20 weeks old and none of them have started laying as yet. Too bad I didn't get a RIR!!! Wishing you the best and lots of delicious eggs!:fl
