I just 2 days ago saved a flock of 6 chickens (4 Buff Orpington, 2 Easter Eggers) from a less than good situation. They are fine now and i am expanding the coop and run very soon, but one of the hens gets picked on a lot. Her face is naked and the other chickens bite at her face to make her run away all the time! I want to know why they do that (is it just the pecking order?), and if she will be okay/how to help her. Thanks! Pictures of the hurt one below:

She is at the bottom of the pecking order. If there is a head hen leading the attacks, you may need to separate her or rehome her.
The head hen doesnt lead them, they all peck at her equally. Usually when they eat, not normally. Where they used to be they didnt have much food, so maybe the other hens are being protective of the food?
