I just started up a new flock today!
Been out of the game a while.
Glad to be back!
So far I have 2 Jersey Giant pullets, 1 Rhode Island Red pullet, and two Apenzeller pullets.
I have had Jerseys and Reds before, 10 years ago, but Apenzellers are new to me.

Welcome back to the flock.

Very nice looking birds. What is it you love about Jersey Giants? I'm interested in them but have never had them.

Well, this is my first JG hens. I used to have a JG rooster. He was very docile. I just liked his size and blueish tail feathers. I like unique birds. Large, Cool colors.

By Bob, my old flock was 28 birds. Some Barred Rock, Comets, Americaunas, and the GJ.
The BR and Comets were great for egg production, I had more than I knew what to do with. But I liked the others best because they were different.
I will be interested in watching them grow and learn fron your experiences.
