New flock

I am a new flock owners, 32 chickens & 4 ducks, so much fun to watch! I would love to pet them, but don't want to scare them by chasing, does anybody have an suggestions? Should I leave food out for them or just feed twice a day? I let them roam free when I get home from work.

How to tame a chicken? I never really thought about it.
Mine were mere chicks and we just spent a lot of time
with them. One day, they just turned into lap chickens.

But they are fun to watch, aren't they?

If you start bringing them treats now and then they will become your friends. You could bring them mealworms, sunflower seeds, some table scraps, etc. and sit somewhere. They will probably start climbing all over you after awhile. Some birds never like being held but, others will find their way into your lap and like it.
