My wife’s hobby is raising her layer hens (with roosters). I told her about this wonderful website with people that are learning the ropes of successfully raising chickens. I have read a lot from here but just now joining.
We recently hatched some new babies from our new brooder and all is well for the dozen new chicks. Thought I would start out with a neat little tip: We got a 2’x4’ aluminum water trough from Tractor Supply (like the one they sell baby chicks from). My wife likes to move it around but it takes two people to do that. I bought a 30”x18” furniture dolly from Harbor Freight (took off the rubber ends) and gorilla glued it to the bottom. Now she can move it anywhere with ease when I’m not around. Cost about $20.
