Hi Monika! I did the same thing.... silently hitting every topic that caught my eye and absorbing the wealth of knowledge and experience from wonderful chicken folks! They call it lurking, but I called it learning.

I was raised in Rosemead, and my great-grandparents' (also in Rosemead) raised chickens from the early '40s to the early '60s when g'gpa passed. Guess that's where I first caught the chicken "bug". We're in Norco now. Is that the Meet Up you went to? If so, did you get into the group photo? That was a really fun meet!

Hello! Nice to meet you! Yes, I lurked for quite some time, just didn't have anything to ask that wasn't already addressed in the forum. I'd love to live in Norco where I could have all sorts of livestock, but it's just too far for me. It sure is difficult finding a place to live that allows livestock! I wish there was a list online of cities that allow it, it seems I have to search city by city on the municipal codes. I was in the photo at the meetup, I'm in the leopard coat. I enjoyed attending and would go again! What poultry do you have?
