Good HOT afternoon! My name is Mary and I raise chickens and we have pugs! thus the name featherpugs! - LOL. Our coop here in the desert between Casa Grande and Eloy is fully enclosed even over the top because of predators - both coyotes and raptors! I am new to raising chickens in AZ and have a question about molt. My last chicks were in Alaska where molt hit all at the same time of year and everyone molted at once. BUT I'm not sure about AZ - do they just molt when about 18 mos old or at a specific time? Reason for asking is I have some EEs that seem to be in molt - OR is it just the hot weather? I know crazy first question!
