Hi everyone! I’m new to the forum and am so excited to find folks interested in chickens. My flock size varies but right now I am down to seven. I have two Easter eggers, one Plymouth, and four young opal legbars. We went several years with no losses, but the predator load has increased dramatically in the last year. I’m in the process of rethinking everything from Coop placement and Construction to which breeds I keep. I just recently rehomed a very sweet Brahma (sad) but it was for the best. She’s in a great spot now and very happy. I am transitioning to smaller birds who are good flyers (ex legbars). I’ve been very pleased with them and plan on getting more in the spring.

Hopefully the rain will end at some point! I’m over it, and so are the chickens and goats 😂
