Hi, Im Emma.
I'm new to this forum and have two horses, two ponies, four chickens, three dogs, a cat and a gerbil. I live in the contry with my mom, dad and my brother.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm not new to chickens and I've had chickens for about a year or more.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have three hens and a rooster.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have a Barred Plymouth Rock, a Rhode Island Red , and two Orpington\\ Rhode Island Red mix.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
My mom showed me this website.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to ride horses, play vollyball, and in the summer go fishing with my dad.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

1. We've been raising chickens of some sort ever since I was little.
2. We have some dozens of chickens, geese, ducks, and turkeys.

Well: presently we have Silver Laced Wyandotte (1 roo),
Australorp (1 hen),
EE's ( I call them my Ameraucanas- two roos and some girls)
Barred Rocks (no roos)
Dominiques (all hens)
Jersey Giants (3 girls )
Polish:Silver Laced(oops, that WAS Predator), Brown, White
Crested Blue, Golden
Polish/Ameraucana hybrids (blame the Polish rooster )

4. I was researching different heritage meat birds on the internet, and came across this wonderful forum!

I had a gerbil when I was young. I just love them little critters.

I have had chickens for nearly 25 years (with a few breaks)

I have kids, chickens, muscovies, call ducks, guineas, peafowl, pigeons, rabbits, cats, dogs, a pygmy goat and a mini horse.... oh, yeah..
and a understanding husband!
