Thanks for the welcome! Here is some information:
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes I'm new to chickens. I got my first 5 in April 2011
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 17 chickens now. Also 5 guineas and 3 turkeys.
(3) What breeds do you have? Five Rhode Island Reds, two Black Australorps, two Easter Eggers, one Black Copper Maran rooster, three Welsumers, three Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, 5 Pearl Guineas, one Royal Palm turkey and 2 Blue Slate turkeys.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Was searching for chicken breeds on Google and came across BYC.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Amateur radio, Hunting, Fishing, Gardening, Firearms, Metal Detecting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am 44 and married to my wonderful wife of 12 years, we don't have any kid with two legs, all ours have 4. Our dogs are: 1 west highland terrier, one maltese, 1 Chihuahua and a bird dog mix. I am a Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Tech. We live in Western Kentucky on 125 acre farm in a house I built myself.
