Hi all. I purchased four chicks from a local breeder who guarantees pullets. They are now six weeks old. My favorite, an easter-egger, is showing signs of cockerel. The policy is I can return a roo for another chick or pullet. Question is, if my easter-egger is returned, am I better off getting a 4 week old pullet to add to my three who are 6 weeks, or wait until next year once my remaining hens are adults and try adding a few new chicks, instead of just the one? Thanks!
