not many problems depending on the breed and if you give them heat in their coop! heating a coop can be an issue when you loose power on a cold night and the birds are not accustomed to the cold. also, make sure they have plenty of ventilation during the winter. if moisture is allowed to stay in a coop you can have issues with frost bitten combs on some breeds.
