I grew up in a small town and married a city girl. I was always around farms and enjoyed the slower paced way of life. I think I have finally talked my wife into getting some chickens. I'd have a whole farm if I could. Lol. But anyway I'm a total beginner other then scattering some cracked corn as a kid. If enjoyed reading the site and look forward to learning more.

Reverse all that and you have my story. I'm in Maryland on the PA/MD line (near Delaware). Grew up in the country, had chickens and other livestock growing up in Wisconsin... married a city boy and just talked him into getting fertile hatching eggs. We're set to hatch this weekend.

I'm out in central pa/ western md. Franklin county pa, washinton county md. And thanks for the warm welcome. This site truly is a wealth of information. I've even located a local source for showgirls. That's the condition for me getting chickens for eggs and meat. The wife wanted a few for pets. Lol
