New from Michigan's U.P.

Hi everyone, my name is Melinda. I am married and a mother of 8 children from ages 16 to 1year. I have 2 dogs; a black retriever and a West Highland White Terrier, and 13 chicks...I have 10 chicks that are a little older, I'm guessing about 5-6 weeks (I have had them for almost 5 weeks) and brand new ones that I am assuming are days old (my husband surprised me with the 3 new ones). Our family has been really interested in laying hens (hopefully they are hens and not roosters) so we thought we would give it a try! I'm really excited to see what is going to happen. This is all new to me so any kind of tips/information will be appreciated.
